The Regional Center for Quality of Health Care (RCQHC) was established in 1999 to provide leadership in building regional capacity to improve quality of health care in Africa through promoting evidence based better practices. RCQHC performs a wide range of activities covering training of health managers, documentation and dissemination of strategic information, advocacy, technical assistance support and operations research. The offices of the Regional Center for Quality of Health Care are located in Makerere University, Kampala-Uganda

RCQHC has fostered good working relationship with key stakeholders at International, Regional and National levels. It is working closely with the stakeholders to improve Quality of Health Care in Africa. The partners include; Africa 2010, ECSA-HC, TBCAP, ISQUA, INTRA HEALTH, ENGENDERHEALTH, FHI, WHO, UNICEF, USAID, FANTA/AED and JHPIEGO.
