Dear Guest, welcome to the department of Community Health and Behavioural Sciences!

Our department covers Primary HealthCare, Population and Family Health (Maternal and Child Health/Family Planning), Reproductive Health, Adolescent Health and Development, Public Health Nutrition and Public Health Nursing

We also coordinate the Masters Degree in Public Health Nutrition, the fourth year MBChB, PHC courses and a short course in Public Health in Complex Emergencies in collaboration with School of Public Health Columbia and World Education

Among the department’s teaching short programmes is the Public Health in Complex Emergencies (PHCE) short course. The training programme is an annual two-week residential course that focuses on critical public health issues faced by NGO/PVO personnel working in complex emergency situations. This is to prepare students to competently serve in the area of emergencies. Click here for a copy of the short course brochure!
