One Health for East and Central Africa(OHCEA) organized  public Lecture at Makerere University to sensitive students and staff about the importance of  One Health. The acting Deputy  Vice Chancellor Prof. JYT Mugisha was the main guest. One Health has been defined as "the collaborative effort of multiple disciplines — working locally, nationally, and globally — to attain optimal health for people, animals and the environment"

 

 

The pubic Lecture was opened by Dr Juliet Kiguli  "One World, One Health, To transform our communities through One Health is what we are aiming at. Through training, OHCEA is fulfilling part of its vision. Dr Juliet welcomed the  main guests who included the Pricipal COVAB  Prof. John Kabasa, Dean MaKSPH Prof. William Bazeyo, and Prof. Dominic Travis from the University of Minesota.
